What Forbes tells us about the Antennagate consequences for Apple iPhone
We all know what happened after the release of the Apple iPhone 4. It has had the antenna problem due to some engineering bugs. The Fortune magazine has decided to conduct a survey among its readers to find out how Antennagate has affected people’s buying decisions. As a matter of fact, the antenna problems really affected the iphone 4 sales in a negative manner.
Here’s what they found:
- Over 70 percent of the Forbes’ readership knew about the antenna problem and reception issues as a result
- Because of the signal reception issues iPhone 4 had about 19 percent of readers would not have purchased it
As we can according to survey’s results Apple could be not having an extra 20% customers. Though is remains very questionable whether it’s a some sort of a competition-made campaign or it is just due to Apple’s own faults. It does not seem to be really important now anyways.
I have to tell you that my own usage experience with my own iPhone 4 has been good so far. Maybe I am just too lucky not to have any problems with it at all. But I also bought a very hard case for it to use my iPhone anywhere I want without risking to break it. I have bought one after stumbling on one of the review blogs.
However, we must say that despite the global economic situation Antennagate has not been able to get iPhone sales low. Still there’s a big demand and, surely the marketing strategies of Apple, no matter what they are, they are really well designed and able to cope with even the worst market conditions.
Hopefully you found this article useful, get ready for testing the apple iphone. As with one device you will confirm the problem is present and with another one you will see everything is just fine. After you buy your mobile please do not forget to consider buying some protection for your device.
